How to Apply
If you are interested in becoming a member, please submit your application using the link below.
About Membership
●Membership applications are accepted throughout the year.
Once we receive your application, our office will contact you with further details, including information on the annual membership fee.
In rare cases, applications may not be approved if the purpose of joining does not align with our mission.
Membership is valid for a one-year period, from April through March of the following year, and is renewed annually.
●Membership Types
The following membership categories and annual fees are available:
・General Member:Individuals who are interested in the Forum and share a commitment to building a sustainable society.
・Supporting Member:Companies and organizations that support the Forum’s mission and initiatives. Supporting Members are acknowledged on the Supporting Members page.
・Student Member:High school, undergraduate, and graduate students who wish to join.
(Working students are not eligible for this category.)

●Member Information and Communications
As a member, you will receive updates on forums, training programs, and other activities organized by the Communities of Life Forum (Minamisanriku INOCHI MEGURU MACHI GAKKAI), as well as information about events and local products from Minamisanriku Town.
We collect and use members’ personal information solely for purposes related to membership services, such as sharing relevant information and updates. By applying for membership, you indicate your understanding of an agreement with this use of information.

Please note: At present, the Communities of Life Forum operates as a non-profit initiative under the administrative management of the Center for Sustainable Society. For administrative purposes, members of the Communities of Life Forum are therefore registered as members of the Center for Sustainable Society.

●Researchers and scholars exploring fields related to “MEGURU GA MIERU” who wish to deepen their knowledge and apply it to society.
Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: forest, rural, and marine ecology; biology; environmental science; fisheries; food science; business administration; economics; social and environmental engineering; urban and regional planning; civil engineering; architecture; social sciences; literature; communication; and regional revitalization.
●Residents of Minamisanriku Town and other local communities who are interested in our initiatives, want to learn more, or are eager to take action.
●National and local government officials who wish to apply insights from the forum to sustainability strategies, policies, and SDGs initiatives in their own regions.
●Business leaders and professionals seeking ideas for action, innovation, and collaboration to advance sustainability within their organizations.
●Educators and school staff (elementary through university level) interested in developing new educational programs, courses, and learning.
●High school, undergraduate, and graduate students who are interested in “MEGURU GA MIERU” or are looking for opportunities to present and share their research.
●Anyone who is passionate about building a sustainable society.

We welcome participation from anyone who is even slightly interested in realizing “MEGURU GA MIERU” and who would like to work with us.
